Yesterday, it was learned from the Municipal Office of Aging that the city's home care and nursing services broadened the scope of services and began to accept the declaration of one-child disabled or dead families. Citizens who are registered in this Municipality, whose spouse is 60 years of age or older, who are disabled or dead, and whose life is difficult, can apply. The only child with disabilities defined in the conditions must be disabled in the first and second grades. The standard of living difficulties for the elderly is that the per capita income of the urban center or the couple is less than RMB 1100, and that of the far city is less than RMB 900.

Eligible elderly people are required to bring their residence booklet, ID card, the only child's disability card, the original and copy of the special permit card, and the street family planning department's certificate to the community (village) in the place of residence.

From the date of declaration, the elderly can enjoy a free home-based retirement service for one hour a day for a total of 365 hours a year. After receiving the application requirements, the pension service agency will determine the service time with the elderly and send the nursing staff of the agency to provide laundry, food, cooking, cleaning, shopping, escorting for medical treatment, reading newspapers, talking and chatting.

At present, 7527 people in the city enjoy home-based nursing care. Since 2006, it has already benefited more than 31,000 elderly people, provided 11.6252 million hours of home-based nursing care, and invested 102 million yuan in urban finance. The city has built a network of old-age care services for people with special hardships over the age of 60, covering all age groups from 60 to 100 years old. Elderly people of different ages can report home care and nursing care services according to relevant conditions.
