The “Haieng-I†100-kilowatt tidal power station, led by the Institute of Marine Renewable Energy of the School of Naval Architecture of Harbin Engineering University, has recently been successfully operated in Guishan Waterway, Daishan County, Zhejiang Province. The power station adopts the dual-unit tidal energy power generation device with a total capacity of 300kW and the tidal energy power generation technology of floating vertical shaft turbine independently developed by the school. It has the largest power generation capacity in the world and is the first floating vertical shaft tidal energy demonstration power station in China.
The power station system breaks through the integrated design of floating tidal power generation system, high-performance vertical axis variable angle turbine, light high-strength composite material blade, power station shallow water large load mooring system, low-speed direct-drive permanent magnet generator, power stability transformation and Key technologies such as control and dynamic submarine cable design and laying have formed the theoretical methods and software systems for tidal current generators, and developed key equipment for tidal energy power stations such as floating carriers, anchor systems, vertical shaft turbines, low-speed generators and electric energy conversion. The demonstration operation of the power station realizes the power supply to the onshore power load through the submarine cable and the offshore power generation device, so that the power station system can automatically operate at sea. Appraised by the project expert group, the design technology and equipment of the demonstration system have reached the international advanced level.
