Data show that in August 2014, the added value of the chemical industry increased by 8.7% year-on-year, and the growth rate slowed down by 3.9 percentage points year-on-year. Among the main products, ethylene production increased by 14.2% year-on-year; the output of plastics, synthetic rubber and synthetic fibers in primary form increased by 14.9%, 11.5% and 3.7% respectively; the output of rubber tires increased by 5.3%.
