Zinc Shot is a very common Metal Abrasive used on Aluminium die casting parts and Zinc die casting parts. Zinc shot has a similar density but lower hardness. It could clean the surface of some soft casting parts without any damage while steel shot can not. Compared with aluminium, it is heavier and safer when shot blasting.
