According to reports, the professional name of explosion-proof tires is called gas-free tires. This type of tire has a special rubber structure on the side of the tire, which can support the vehicle to travel a certain distance even when the air pressure is insufficient.

However, such tires have a low rate of flatness and need to be kept at a low speed when they pass through, otherwise it is easy to puncture the tire.

Tire manufacturers are helpless

Tire business executives told reporters that the complaints they received could be roughly classified into two types.

The first is the complaint caused by the tire's own problems during the claim period.

The second is due to improper use of the tire caused by damage, but consumers mistakenly believe that there is a quality problem with the tire, and thus the complaint.

The responsible person disclosed that, in the first category of complaints, tire manufacturers usually provide free replacement tires for consumers, identify problems, and improve products.

In the case of a second complaint, the manufacturer can only patiently inform consumers of the reason for the tire damage, and explain the reasons for not claiming.

He reluctantly said: "Even so, there are a lot of owners who don't want to hear from us, but they insist that the tires have quality problems and they won't give up without compensation."

He said that in the face of this situation, in order to maintain the brand's popularity, vendors sometimes can only swallow the noise and give consumers some compensation.

According to reports, at present, the incidence of such incidents is on the rise.

Should pay enough attention

According to the survey, at present, about half of China's in-use tires have different degrees of safety hazards. Even the tire problems of some vehicles have become “sick and ill”, but the owner is unaware.

The lack of vehicle owner's tire safety knowledge, in addition to the potential for driving accidents, is also a major factor leading to tire damage and increased complaints.

It is understood that some enterprises and institutions are actively seeking solutions to this problem.

Since 2015, the China Rubber Industry Association has launched the “China Tire Safety Week” campaign to promote basic tire knowledge and safe use of common sense to consumers and promote green tires.

In response, industry insiders said: "Whether it is to enhance the safety factor of consumers, or to reduce the amount of complaints of tire companies, the work of popularizing tire knowledge should attract people's attention."
