Qilu Petrochemical chlor-alkali plant cracking furnace waste heat recovery device has been successfully transformed. The indicator of plant operation on May 30 showed that the exhaust temperature dropped from 175°C to below 120°C, and the thermal efficiency of the cracking furnace increased from 90% to 92.5%.

The low thermal efficiency of the cracking furnace has always been the short-term management of the chlor-alkali plant. This time, the plant made full use of major overhaul opportunities to completely renovate the equipment. After the transformation, the air that enters the furnace to assist the combustion is first heat exchanged with the flue gas, and the hot air is then sent to the furnace to save fuel. According to preliminary estimates, the increase in thermal efficiency of the cracking furnace will correspondingly reduce fuel consumption by more than 5%.
