MINI plans to push 11 new models in the next few years

According to reports by German media at night, the successful brand of the BMW MINI, a wave of enthusiasm, will launch the third-generation MINI. Members of this model family will continue to increase. The 11 new models and 23 modified models will be developed based on the UKL1 MINI platform.

The new generation of MINI is expected to be available in 2014. It will have better controllability, higher quality, and better efficiency. Like other companies, the BMW MINI brand will build new models based on the UKL1 front-wheel drive platform. This drive platform will introduce two wheelbase lengths to enable flexible production of different sizes of MINI models.

Three new models to be released after 2014 have also been confirmed: a MINI Traveller MPV model, a small luxury car mainly for the Asian market and a five-door hatchback MINI. The latter will be another important product of the MINI becoming the mainstay of the small-car market.

All new models will be equipped with small turbocharged gasoline or diesel engines. In addition to the 6-speed manual gearbox, the future MINI new model also plans to carry a more efficient 8-speed automatic transmission. However, unlike other car manufacturers, the MINI has not yet planned to launch a hybrid-powered car.
