The fixed chute has a simple structure, no power, large processing capacity, wide particle size selection, large enrichment ratio, easy manufacture, and convenient and maintenance. However, the labor intensity of clearing and squeezing is large, and the effect of sorting fine grain gold is poor, and it is suitable for coarse grain size of natural gold, and is used as roughing equipment for small-scale production. Most of the foreign countries have replaced large fixed chutes with equipment such as conical concentrators, spiral concentrators and Ross chutes. In addition to the advantages of having a fixed chute that does not consume power and a large amount of processing, these devices have the advantages of reducing labor intensity, enhancing fine-grain recovery, and easy relocation.
      The jig is one of the main equipments for the selection of gold and gold mines. It also has a good sorting effect on fine-grained gold. When the sand gold ore is selected in industrial production, the recovery rate of gold can reach 85-90%. According to reports, the Soviet Union used jigs for rough selection, and the gold recovery rate was 90-94%. It can be seen that if the selection condition of the jig can be well controlled, a higher sorting index can be obtained. However, the concentrate yield of the jig is relatively large, and it is necessary to strengthen the selection operation.
      The shaker has a high enrichment ratio of sand gold, but the production capacity is low, so it cannot be used as a rough selection equipment, and is mainly used for selected operations. In industrial production, if the operating conditions are well controlled, the ideal sorting index can be obtained, and the gold recovery rate can reach 98% or more.
