Types of gold ore that can be treated by flotation

Gold ore has the lowest content of gold. The main feature of flotation is that a small amount of gold is floated from a large amount of pulp. When gold is recovered from gold-containing sulfide mineral particles, it is difficult to directly carry out cyanidation and gold extraction. However, the flotation method can be used as a concentrate product to recover gold. The flotation of gold-containing sulfide concentrates, which can be extracted by cyanidation, must be carried out after fine grinding. If it cannot be directly cyanated, it can be calcined or metallurgically treated.
In general, gold ore containing gold can be treated by flotation in the following cases:
1. Gold and sulphide are closely symbiotic, and gold enters the mineralized foam to produce concentrate.
2. Gold is not mostly symbiotic with sulfide minerals, but a sufficient amount of sulfide minerals in the ore ensures a stable mineralized foam containing gold sulfide ore.
3. free of sulfide mineral ores, but contains a lot of iron oxide, ocher mud contained in the ore case plays a role of the foam stabilizer;
4. sulfide mineral ore or iron oxide containing no minerals, but easy to float and capable of containing the foam stabilizing minerals (e.g., sericite, etc.);
5. Pure quartz gold ore is pre-selected with sulfide minerals, or added with sulfide minerals (about 3% (or added a suitable agent to form a stable foam.
6. After recovering the main valuable components ( copper , lead , arsenic, etc.) in the ore by flotation, the tailings can be treated by cyanidation.
