The United States has a worse impression of the US car sales in China in June, nearly 23%

According to "Nikkei Business News" reported on July 12, the statistics released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on July 11 showed that China's new car sales in June increased by 4.8% year-on-year to 2,237,700. Affected by Sino-US trade frictions, Chinese consumers are avoiding the psychological enhancement of purchasing American products. Sales of US cars such as General Motors (GM) and Ford fell 20%, lowering the overall growth rate of the Chinese auto market, which has continued to maintain a growth rate of around 10% since April.

Passenger car sales increased by 2.3% year-on-year to 1,874,200 units. Among them, the sales of American cars in June decreased significantly by 22.9%, Japanese cars increased by 3.5%, and German cars increased by 4.9%, in stark contrast.

A salesperson at a 4S store in Beijing, General Motors, said that "due to the deterioration of the public's impression of the United States, some customers have flown to Japanese and German brands." SAIC-GM's main joint venture, GM's June sales, fell 8% year-on-year.

Ford's sales are also sluggish. Sales in June fell sharply by 38%, and the decline was widening. Due to the improvement in Sino-Korean relations, Hyundai Motor's sales have doubled to double the same period last year. This shows that there is a risk that sales in China's business will be affected by diplomatic relations.

New car sales in January-June increased by 5.6% to 1,406,600 units, showing strong performance. Sales of new energy vehicles centered on pure electric vehicles (EVs) increased more than twice that of the same period of the previous year to 410,000 units.
