Orders from the bioprocess technology sector increased by 5.3% to 158.1 million euros, and sales revenue increased by 16.9% to 137.7 million euros. In addition to the strong revenue from the disposable product business, the recent acquisition of cell culture media products and small bioreactors is an important reason for the growth of the departmental business.

In the laboratory's product service department, orders increased by 5.4% to 65.3 million euros. However, its sales revenue was only 0.637 billion euros, a decrease of 4.7% from the same period of last year. As expected, the adjustment of the product line has an impact on sales revenue; in addition, changes in the market environment, especially the demand in the Asian market, are lower than expected and have an impact on the sector’s revenue.

As for the smallest business segment, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, that is, the former industrial weighing, the order volume was 0.229 billion euros, a slight increase from the same period of last year, but its sales revenue dropped by 13.6% to only 0.217 million euros.

From a regional perspective, the strongest growth of Sartorius came from North America, reaching 18.4%, of which the acquired product business has played an important role. In Asia, revenue increased by 7.0%; in Europe, sales revenue increased by 4.7%.
