From the sales trend of the truck market in recent years, except for 2004, other years will enter a sales trough in July and August. In the first half of this year, the truck market was less affected by macroeconomic policies. In July, the truck market also followed this pattern. Production and sales in all market segments fell to varying degrees in June. Among them, the sales of micro cards were the worst, falling by 31.25% from the previous quarter. Compared with the same period of last year, except for the slight decline in the output of China Cards and light trucks, the truck market as a whole showed significant growth. According to statistics provided by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the truck market totaled 107,057 vehicles and 110,688 vehicles in July, an increase of 11.75% and 16.15% year-on-year, and a decrease of 11.78% and 17.76% respectively from June.
In terms of heavy trucks, in July, production and sales of 17,560 vehicles and 20,418 vehicles, although far below the level of production and sales of more than 30,000 vehicles in the same period in 2004, increased significantly compared with the same period of last year, which was a year-on-year increase of 64.28% and 62.02%, respectively, a decrease of 16.96 from June. % and 18.92%. Among them, July sales of heavy-duty non-integrated vehicles and semi-trailer tractors were 10,454 and 6025, respectively, a significant year-on-year increase, which was 85.29% and 80.55% respectively; the production of semi-trailer tractors was particularly rapid year-on-year, with production in July. 5946 vehicles, an increase of up to 178.50%.
In terms of China Card, in July, it produced and sold 11,677 vehicles and 14,145 vehicles, an increase of 3.86% and 11.63% year-on-year, which was 4.96% and 4.92% lower than that in June, and the downward trend slowed down. Among them, 3,726 vehicles and 4,955 vehicles were manufactured and sold by CNMC Non-Complete Vehicles, which decreased by 24.33% and 6.56% respectively over the same period.
In terms of light trucks, production and sales of 57,394 vehicles and 60,309 vehicles in July decreased 8.81 percent year-on-year, and sales volume increased 7.86% year-on-year, down 12.18% and 15.67% from June. Among them, 6188 units and 6792 units were produced and sold for non-integrated light trucks, an increase of 10.96% and 21.35% respectively year-on-year.
In terms of micro-cards, 20,426 vehicles and 15,816 vehicles were sold and sold in July, which continued to grow at a faster rate compared with the same period of last year, with an increase of 35.33% and 12.06%, which was 9.49% and 31.25% lower than that in June. Among them, 1244 vehicles and 1295 vehicles were produced and sold by non-integrated micro-cards, which showed a substantial increase year-on-year, with increases of 70.18% and 60.87%, respectively.
The major companies in the heavy truck market are experiencing rapid growth. FAW Group still ranks first in terms of annual sales of 38,185 units. It sold 4,252 vehicles in July, an increase of 26.43% year-on-year, an increase of 8.60% from June. Dongfeng Motor Company followed the sales volume of 37,682 units. It sold 4307 units in July, a year-on-year increase of 27.54% and an increase of 14.32% from June. China National Heavy Duty Truck ranked No. 3 with a cumulative total of 35,385 units. It sold 4,082 units in July and continued to grow at a high rate of 84.62% year-on-year. Shaanxi Automobile Group ranked fourth in sales with a total of 18,617 units. In July, it sold 2,285 units, a year-on-year increase of 112.16%. Beiqi Foton and Chongqing Hongyan were ranked fifth and sixth respectively with sales of 16,048 units and 11,620 units respectively, of which Foton’s growth was as high as 130.65% in July. This month, the sales of several major heavy truck companies have all experienced significant growth. This has also been the main reason for the double-doubled increase in both sales and sales in the heavy truck market. Driven by the major heavy truck companies, the heavy truck market has gradually come out of the adjustment period.
The China Card Market staged a dispute over the exploration of flowers. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. ranked first in sales with an accumulated annual sales of 34,348 units. In July, it sold 5,037 units, a year-on-year decrease of 1.18%, and a decrease of 1..13% from June. The total sales volume of FAW Group was 28,307 units, which was the second best seat. Beiqi Futian still stands out on the light truck market. Beiqi Foton continued to top the list with an annual sales of 172,972 units. In July, it sold 18,266 units, an increase of 10.38% year-on-year, and 12.45% lower than that in June. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sold 60,408 vehicles in the second place. In July, it sold 6,874 vehicles, an increase of 40.89% year-on-year, and a decrease of 11.12% from June. Jianghuai’s accumulated sales of 54,291 units ranked third, with 5,547 units sold in July, a year-on-year decrease of 8.50% and an increase of 4.86% from June.
The top three companies in the micro-card market are down. Changan Automobile, SAIC-GM-Wuling and Hafei Motors respectively ranked the top three in terms of annual sales of 39,298 units, 30,790 units and 17,841 units. Their sales in July were 3,139 units, 2,706 units and 1,559 units respectively, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.88%. ~22.75% decline.
