China's LED lighting has great potential for export to Russia>
According to statistics from the High-tech LED Industry Research Institute (GLII), China's LED lighting exports showed a rapid growth trend in 2013, with annual exports exceeding US$5.4 billion. China's LED lighting products are mainly exported to the United States, Japan, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands and other countries (see Figure 1). From the perspective of regional distribution, Europe and the United States are still the main markets for export. However, enterprises have begun to use emerging countries and regions represented by Russia as new export destinations. Emerging markets have become a new bright spot for LED exports due to the global economic slowdown. Demand for LED lighting has slowed down in developed markets. However, its export threshold has been increasing, and many foreign trade companies have experienced sharp declines in overseas orders. Infrastructure investment in emerging markets has begun to turn hot, and emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Russia and Africa have become new highlights of led exports. In 2013, China's exports of LED lighting products to the Russian market accounted for 4.2% of total exports. As can be seen from Chart 2, Russia's monthly exports accounted for an overall upward trend, and its monthly export share in December was the second highest. Product Structure Exported to Russia In 2013, China's LED products exported to the Russian market mainly included light strips, bulbs, panel lights, spotlights, spotlights and lamps. Among them, the export volume of light strips, bulbs and panel lights ranks in the top three, and the proportion of exports in the whole year is 12.93%, 9.52% and 6.15% respectively. The export value of the above six products accounts for 37.34% of the total exports of LED exports to Russia.
