China's first food safety on-site rapid test equipment interview

Introduction: On December 28th, China's first high-tech equipment for on-site rapid detection of food safety, the ion mobility spectrometer, officially debuted in Chongqing. This device utilizes ion mobility spectrometry technology to rapidly detect the presence of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, lean meat extracts, melamine, etc., in the submitted foods, and prevent problem foods from reaching the table.

Before the ion mobility spectrometer display stand, the operator took a small piece of input from the surface of a Chinese cabbage into the warehouse. At 1 minute and 48 seconds, the ion migration spectrum of the Chinese cabbage was displayed on the machine interface. Almost at the same time, the results that are automatically compared by the computer with the standard map are also shown: "The goods you tested meet the inspection standards."

According to reports, at present, most of China's food safety testing equipment is laboratory-grade. Not only is it expensive, but it also requires hours or even more than a dozen hours of preprocessing for almost all inspection items. The advantages of the ion mobility spectrometer of the copier type size are as follows: small size, light weight, and can use an ordinary power supply to work under atmospheric pressure without requiring pretreatment of the submitted inspection items, and the total detection time is reduced to less than two minutes.

"Our goal is not just to provide an on-site rapid detection device. More importantly, we must use ion mobility spectrometry as the core technology, supplemented by two-dimensional bar code automatic identification technology and cloud computing technology to build a food safety covering the whole society.
