A new generation of China West Power 145kV smart high-voltage switchgear breakthrough

Recently, the first new-generation 145kV intelligent high-voltage switchgear developed in China by Western Electric, a subsidiary of Western China Electric Power, has made technological breakthroughs in intelligent control, conductor video and on-line monitoring of three-station facilities.

In the aspect of intelligent control, since a large number of wires and cables are still used between the cabinet and the body of an intelligent switchgear, it is inconvenient for on-site construction and commissioning and installation. The improved intelligent switch between a new generation of smart cabinets and agencies directly using all-optical cable to connect, saving costs and greatly enhance the technical level of products. On-line monitoring technology, a new generation of intelligent switchgear to achieve the conductor video monitoring and three-position motor current and body travel monitoring. The successful development of these two technologies enables field maintenance personnel and users to grasp the operating status of the switch conductors and the mechanism in real time, making operation and maintenance more intuitive.

At present, these three technologies have been successfully applied to the 145kV intelligent GIS equipment at GE GE in the United States and passed the assessment of experts from the Group and GE. Next, XKC will continue to deepen the research on the key technologies of intelligent switch, accelerate the research and development of a new generation of intelligent high-voltage switch, and enhance the soft power of enterprises and the market competitiveness at home and abroad.
