Jilin: The capacity of new energy vehicles will surpass 200,000 during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period

On April 19, the reporter was informed in Changchun that Jilin Province proposed in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” that it will invest 13 billion yuan in the development of new energy automobile industry in the next five years, and will give priority to supporting FAW to accelerate the industrialization of plug-in hybrid self-owned brands. Accelerate R&D and manufacture of pure electric cars, break through battery, motor, and electronically controlled key production technologies and build related supporting facilities. The output of new energy vehicles will exceed 200,000 vehicles, with a national market share of more than 10%, accounting for 5% of the province's total vehicle volume. Above, the output value reached 50 billion yuan.

As a traditional province of the old industrial base, Jilin started early in the field of new energy vehicles. Since 1998, Jilin Province has relied on the technical advantages of FAW Group in the field of advanced military and new energy vehicles in China, and has been at the leading domestic level. At present, more than 100 gas-electric hybrid buses have been put into operation in Changchun and Liaoyuan in Jilin Province. Changchun City plans to run 1,000 new energy vehicles by the end of 2012, including 700 new energy buses and 300 new energy taxis.
