Last night, toxic materials leaked from the warehouse of a chemical plant in Xinwen Community, Xiangfu Town, Hangzhou City, north of the city.

Hangzhou fire rushed out of 10 squadrons and 21 fire engines rushed to the scene and searched and rescued more than 20 trapped people. Nearly 200 people around the area were evacuated. During the search and rescue of trapped people, five firefighters were poisoned in varying degrees.

The chemical plant that has leaked is named Hangzhou Hexiang Fine Chemical Co., Ltd., and it is located in No.103 Nanba, Xiangfu Town, Gongshu District.

At 7:19pm, Xiangfu Fire Squadron received an alarm from the command center.

The station of the Hangzhou Firefighting Xiangfu Squadron is at the intersection of Moganshan Road and Xinwen Road, and it is less than 5 minutes walk from the incident site.

Soon, firefighters at Sandun Hospital were also transferred to the Second City Hospital. All five firefighters were transferred to the intensive care unit.

Five fire fighters have fallen

In the hospital, five firefighters experienced symptoms of shortness of breath. One of the firefighters was unable to breathe spontaneously and the doctor performed an intubation procedure.
